If your boots are really starting to look dirty, you might want to consider giving them a good shampoo. Our Authentic Ugg Boots Shampoo with Conditioner (link to product) is a biodegradable, highly effective formula that over time and with repeated use will actually improve the luster and condition of sheepskin leather, making them softer and suppler. Our shampoo also has disinfecting properties, which will help eliminate any bacteria, fungus or residual odors. To shampoo your Uggs safely and effectively, just follow our simple method. 1) First, wet the entire boot in either cold or warm, not hot, water. You can go ahead and immerse the boot in the water, but you don't want to soak it; soaking the boot can be damaging to the leather. Make sure you do not use hot water, as hot water will weaken the glue and shrink the boot. 2) Next, use your Ugg Shampoo with Conditioner. Apply a small amount of the shampoo to a stiff brush and then work the shampoo into the boot, thoroughly and evenly covering the entire boot. 3) Rinse the boot again in your cold or warm water. Again, you may immerse the boot, but do not let it soak. 4) Shake off excess water. If you'd like, you may put the boots into your machine on spin cycle to get rid of any extra water. 5) Dry your boots upside down, with the sole facing up. Be sure to dry them outside of any direct sunlight or artificial heat, as this can lead to shrinking. Ugg boots must be air-dried. Do not dry your boot in a clothes drier, as this will shrink your boots. Once your boots are completely dry, you can brush them all over with a stiff brush to raise the fibers and improve the overall appearance. *A word to the wise: You may notice that after air-drying your Ugg boots they may seem a bit smaller. Don't worry; this is completely normal. After only an hour or so of wear, your Ugg boots will loosen up and return to their pre-shampooing size. If you plan to waterproof your Ugg boots, it's best to do so immediately after they are dry. Waterproofing your boots will protect them against harsh weather and moisture and help prevent stains and dirt build-up. Simply spray our Ugg repellent spray (link to product) all over the boot.
